Celebrating Excellence: 20 Baptist Health Nurses Recognized Among Arkansas’ Top 100 Nurses

The Arkansas Great 100 Nurses list has just been released, highlighting the hard work and dedication of nurses in the state. This annual event pays tribute to those who show outstanding commitment to quality healthcare and leadership in nursing.

Kelley Hamby, Chief Nursing Executive at Baptist Health, shared her thoughts on the importance of this recognition. She noted that 20 nurses from Baptist Health made the list. “This program started to honor nurses in several states, with Arkansas being one of them,” Hamby said.

She emphasized that this recognition goes beyond just awards. “It’s a way to honor nurses for their dedication to patient care and the nursing profession,” she added. Hamby believes it’s essential to acknowledge the effort nurses put in every day.

The winners will be honored at a banquet in September, hosted by the Great 100 Nurses Foundation at Embassy Suites. Typically, over 500 people attend to celebrate these remarkable individuals.

Hamby also encouraged everyone to show appreciation for healthcare workers. She reminded us, “A simple thank you can mean a lot when care is being provided.”

It’s not just about awards; it’s about supporting those who care for our health. This recognition is a way to remind us of the vital role nurses play in our communities.
