Celebrating Peace: BJP Applauds PM Modi and Armed Forces for Facilitating India-Pakistan Ceasefire

New Delhi: The BJP praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the courage of the armed forces after the recent ceasefire announcement between India and Pakistan. Amit Malviya, head of the BJP’s IT department, expressed gratitude towards Modi and the military, highlighting India’s strong stance against threats from Pakistan.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav shared a sense of national pride, commending Modi’s firm response to the Pahalgam terror attack. He stated that India has successfully punished terrorists and their backers, describing this as a significant win for the country.

Malviya emphasized that India took calculated risks against a nuclear-armed neighbor, effectively targeting Pakistan’s terror infrastructure. He celebrated the resolve shown by Indian forces and Modi’s leadership. In a statement on X, he exclaimed, “India stands proud today—because of your resolute leadership. Jai Hind!”

The Janata Dal (United), part of the ruling National Democratic Alliance, also welcomed the ceasefire. Spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad remarked that India has taught Pakistan a lesson it won’t forget. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed that the directors general of military operations (DGMO) from both sides agreed to cease all military actions at 5 PM on Saturday.

This announcement came after US President Donald Trump revealed that India and Pakistan had agreed to a “full and immediate” ceasefire, facilitated by US mediation. The DGMO of Pakistan had contacted his Indian counterpart earlier that afternoon, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing tensions between the two nations.

Experts believe this ceasefire could lead to lasting peace, but many view it with skepticism. A recent survey indicated that over 60% of Indians support a strong response to terrorism, reflecting the public’s desire for a decisive approach in handling such threats. As discussions continue, the world watches to see if this ceasefire will pave the way for a new chapter in India-Pakistan relations.
