Celebrating Sustainability: Ministry Recognizes Participants of the 2nd Summer Environmental Club

In Doha, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change recently recognized students involved in the second edition of the 2025 Summer Environmental Club. This program aimed to boost awareness about environmental sustainability and climate change among young people.

Over two weeks, 20 students took part in a variety of activities, including lectures, workshops, and field trips. These experiences helped them grasp important environmental issues. Minister HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie praised the students for their engagement and innovative ideas. He noted that their enthusiasm reflects a growing awareness in the younger generation about protecting the environment. This aligns perfectly with Qatar National Vision 2030’s goals.

The collaboration with partners like UNESCO was also highlighted. Their contribution helped simplify complex environmental topics, making it easier for students to understand.

At the ceremony, students received certificates and commemorative shields, recognizing their hard work and commitment to making the club a success.

This initiative is more important than ever. Recent studies show that climate change is impacting the Middle East and North Africa at an alarming rate, with increased temperatures and water scarcity. By empowering young minds, Qatar is investing in a sustainable future.

As we acknowledge the efforts of these students, it’s crucial to remember that fostering environmental awareness starts at a young age. The ripple effect of this program could lead to long-lasting changes in how future generations approach environmental challenges.
