Actor Josh O’Connor recently shared his thoughts on the absence of Academy Awards nominations for his film “Challengers.” He expressed no hard feelings, saying, “All the nominations are so good this year.” O’Connor believes there are many exceptional films every year and finds it amazing what artists create. He truly doesn’t mind being left out.
While “Challengers” missed out on an Oscar nomination for Best Score, the Academy recognized other films like “The Brutalist,” “Conclave,” and “Wicked.”
O’Connor was at the Sundance Film Festival promoting another project, “Rebuilding.” He mentioned feeling fortunate to have worked on two films he loves this year: “La Chimera” and “Challengers.” He stated, “I’m just so thrilled that people like them and got to see them.”
Addressing speculation about him taking on the role of James Bond, O’Connor joked, “If I am Bond, I don’t know about it.” His lighthearted approach shows he’s focused on his current projects and the positive reception they’ve received.
