Chappell Roan has taken the music world by storm. She recently secured the Grammy for best new artist, overcoming tough competition including Sabrina Carpenter. This achievement marks a remarkable turnaround for Roan, who was once dropped by her record label.

In addition to her big win, Roan is also nominated for album of the year, song of the year, and record of the year. Despite her incredible success, she lost the best pop solo performance and best pop vocal album categories to Carpenter.

Roan often draws inspiration from her upbringing in Missouri, where she felt isolated due to a lack of queer representation. “A lot of my songs come from daydreams and that feeling of being different,” she said in an interview. This unique perspective has shaped her music and resonated with fans.
