Charlie Woods Set to Compete in Iconic Junior Tournament Near Augusta – What You Need to Know!

Tiger Woods, a legendary golfer, has won the Masters five times. Now, his son, Charlie, is creating buzz as he prepares to participate in the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley, a prestigious event in junior golf that many liken to a major tournament.

This year, the event runs from March 19-22 at Sage Valley Golf Club in Graniteville, South Carolina, which is close to Augusta National. Charlie is listed as the 37th player in a field that’s usually limited to 36 top junior golfers. This inclusion is exciting, especially since the competition typically features the best young talent from around the globe.

The tournament will showcase top players, including the top six ranked golfers from the Junior Golf Scoreboard: Luke Colton, Louis Klein, Miles Russell, Michael Riebe, Tyler Watts, and Logan Reilly. Charlie Woods, at 16 years old, is currently ranked 713 on the Junior Golf Scoreboard. He made headlines last summer by qualifying for the U.S. Junior Amateur, although he missed match play by a wide margin. His standout moments include winning the South Florida PGA Junior Cup and helping his team at the Benjamin School clinch a state title recently.

The Junior Invitational will also feature a 24-player women’s division. This year, it includes nine of the top ten female players in junior golf. Among them is Asterisk Talley, the defending champion and current number one. Another notable participant is Kai Trump, granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, who recently committed to the University of Miami. Kai, who ranks 2,342 in the Junior Golf Scoreboard, is also a social media sensation with over a million YouTube subscribers and has recently signed a partnership with TaylorMade, a brand connected to both the junior tournament and Tiger Woods.
