In a recent ruling, a judge has ordered the release of hundreds of people detained during a major immigration operation in Illinois. This decision comes after allegations that federal agents had violated a previous settlement regarding warrantless arrests.
The judge, US District Judge Jeffrey Cummings, stated that those arrested must be granted bond by the end of next week. This situation raises significant questions about how authorities will manage the releases, especially since many detainees have been moved across different states.
