The latest YouGov Best Bites 2026 U.S. Restaurant Brand Rankings reveal which eateries offer the best bang for your buck. Leading the pack is Chick-fil-A, a beloved Southern fast-food chain. Following closely are Jersey Mike’s, Wendy’s, Firehouse Subs, and In-N-Out.

According to Southern Living, diners are keen on value, discounts, and cleanliness. While trends might attract some attention, Chick-fil-A consistently earns rave reviews for its quality. One loyal fan, a 35-49-year-old woman, expressed, “Chick-fil-A is almost always fantastic no matter where you are. The worst problem is the long line, which just shows everyone else wants to eat there too.”

Interestingly, an analysis shows that Americans are three to four times more likely to have a positive view of Chick-fil-A than a negative one. Gen Z is particularly fond of the brand, with 47% sharing positive feelings and only 11% feeling differently. This connection emphasizes how important brand sentiment is in today’s competitive dining industry.

Chick-fil-A, while praised, has faced some backlash over its leaders’ political and religious views. Ashley Brown, a senior director at YouGov, noted, “Restaurants hold a special place in Americans’ lives. In this crowded market, it’s crucial to identify which brands resonate with diners.” She added that their report explores which restaurants excel in specific food categories, from burgers to ice cream.

YouGov gathered insights from 40,000 American consumers. The rankings showed Texas Roadhouse, The Cheesecake Factory, and Olive Garden excelled in casual dining. For specialty dining, Krispy Kreme, Cold Stone Creamery, and Baskin Robbins shone brightly.

Chick-fil-A also ranked as the best place for chicken. When it comes to pizza, Pizza Hut leads, while McDonald’s is famous for its fries. Five Guys is the top pick for burgers, Subway for deli sandwiches, and Taco Bell takes the crown for tacos and burritos.

This data highlights a key takeaway: diners value quality and consistency. As consumers continue to voice their preferences, restaurants that can adapt to these demands will find lasting success.
