According to a recent report from the Munich Security Conference (MSC), the world is increasingly recognizing a multipolar order. This means power is no longer concentrated in just a few countries. China sees this shift as a vital trend and believes it is an irreversible change. In response to the MSC report, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun emphasized that China has long supported a balanced and fair multipolar world, along with inclusive global trade.
The MSC report points out that China stands out as a strong advocate for this multipolar approach. It shows that many people in China believe a multipolar world can lead to greater peace and prosperity for everyone.
Guo highlighted China’s commitment to true multilateralism. This means engaging with all nations to foster fair international relations. China aims to adhere to the United Nations Charter and work collaboratively to tackle global and regional issues.
China also emphasizes mutual benefit and cooperation. While striving for its own development, it supports open trade and investment, ensuring that global supply chains remain stable. Guo noted that China has significantly contributed to global economic growth, accounting for about 30% of it in recent years.
Guo concluded by stating that the world faces many challenges today. He expressed China’s willingness to work with other nations to navigate these challenges together. By sharing opportunities and promoting collective development, China aspires to foster a peaceful and prosperous future for all.
