On January 20, Trump signed an executive order that put a hold on plans to either sell or ban TikTok. He hinted at wanting a deal for a joint venture where the US would hold half of TikTok.
China has always aimed to protect the rights of its enterprises. He made it clear that China opposes actions that disrupt fair market practices.
TikTok has been a hit in the US for years, providing jobs and boosting the economy. Mao Ning, another spokesperson from the Ministry, stated that the app has positively impacted American users. She believes that business decisions should be made independently and based on market conditions.
During the same press conference, He addressed potential tariff increases that the Trump administration might impose on Chinese goods starting February 1. He remarked that such tariffs do not benefit China or the US, nor do they help the global economy.
