AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas men’s basketball team is on fire, winning their latest game against East Texas Baptist, 100-89. They showcased a thrilling offense and solid defense at the Deb and Don Christian Fieldhouse.
The Tornados shot an impressive 56% in the first half, establishing a 10-point lead by halftime. East Texas Baptist put up a fight with their own efficient shooting, making 54% of their attempts and scoring 56 points in the paint. However, Concordia turned the tables with 26 points off turnovers and 31 points on fast breaks, which allowed them to stay ahead.
The Tornados excelled at dictating the game’s pace, quickly converting defensive plays into scoring opportunities. East Texas Baptist had balanced scoring, but Concordia’s knack for forcing mistakes was key to their victory.
