HARTFORD, CT — Manisha Juthani, Connecticut’s Commissioner of Public Health, has been named president of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO). Her term begins on October 22.
Juthani was elected by health officials from across the United States last year. Before this, she served as president-elect and treasurer for the organization. She takes over from Alabama’s Scott Harris.
“Commissioner Juthani’s commitment to public health is widely recognized,” said Governor Ned Lamont. “This honor reflects her hard work and impact beyond Connecticut.”
