Priced at $399.99, the wagon is not without quirks, but it shines for those carrying hefty items uphill. BougeRV focuses on outdoor gear, blending luxury with practicality. However, you might chuckle at its name, which sounds a lot like “bougie,” a term sometimes used to poke fun at something overly fancy.

This wagon can handle steep slopes—I’ve tested it on grades of 5% and 10% using my bike computer. At full throttle, it almost drives itself; all I need to do is steer. The capacity is impressive, starting at 180 liters and expandable to 250 liters with a tailgate that opens for bulkier items. It can even hold small children or pets comfortably.

The dual rear-wheel drive motors are quiet and offer about 11Nm of torque. Although that may not seem like much, the wagon effectively uses both electric and human power, letting you choose from low, medium, or high speeds. I found medium to be ideal for my usual pace.

Despite its many strengths, the electric wagon has a few downsides. Operating it can be tricky; controlling speed requires getting used to the thumb throttle design. In brighter conditions, the handle’s display is nearly impossible to read, making it hard to gauge battery life or speed.

However, there’s ambiguity regarding the wagon’s weatherproofing. BougeRV states it’s “typically weather-resistant,” but I’d advise caution with rain exposure.

User feedback on social media highlights both appreciation and frustration. Some users love the ease of movement, while others mention the strange braking system. The brakes don’t always engage accurately on slopes, making it hard to manage the wagon when it’s loaded.
