Ronnie Stanley, the Ravens’ left tackle, is set to enter free agency next week. Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta is hopeful that Stanley will remain in Baltimore. However, the New England Patriots are also interested and might make a tempting offer.
At the Scouting Combine, ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported that the Patriots are looking to actively pursue Stanley. He’s considered one of the best offensive linemen available, currently ranked as the No. 6 player on our list of the NFL’s Top 100 free agents.
The Patriots have a strong focus on improving their offensive line. Their head coach, Mike Vrabel, and player personnel chief, Eliot Wolf, have both emphasized the need to strengthen this area. Plus, they have significant salary cap space, giving them an edge over the Ravens when it comes to financial offers.
Stanley had a solid season, playing all 17 regular-season games and both playoff games for the Ravens. After battling injuries in the past, he is now in a great position as he approaches free agency, likely attracting multiple offers from teams like the Ravens and Patriots who want to secure his talents.
