Colt Ford is back, and it’s incredible considering the journey he’s been through. After suffering two heart attacks last April, he’s not just recovered; he’s ready to hit the road again!
Ford collapsed after a performance and was brought back to life twice by medical teams. He shared his relief and optimism with fans through an Instagram video, saying, “The devil couldn’t keep me down, baby!” The excitement among his followers was palpable. Many expressed their happiness, saying things like, “Glad to hear that. Best news I’ve heard in a while!” and “You look so healthy and well!”
In a previous interview, Ford reflected on his heart attack experience. After finishing a gig at Dierks Bentley’s bar, he sent a quick text to his fiancée and then fell unconscious. Luckily, his bandmates checked on him and called for help. Brantley Gilbert played a huge role, pushing for Ford to be transported to another hospital better equipped to handle his condition. Ford revealed he died during transit but was miraculously revived again.
Doctors had warned him his chances of survival were slim. He recalled one doctor saying he would have given Ford only a 0.1% chance of making it. Despite this, Ford is a fighter and had stents placed in his heart to aid his recovery.
Colt Ford, whose real name is Jason Farris Brown, has faced multiple health challenges in his life. He previously battled Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease, and even had surgery for eye cancer a few years back. Before his music career took off, he was a professional golfer.
Since his debut in 2008, Ford has released eight studio albums, with “Must Be Country” being the latest in 2023. It’s clear he’s not just surviving; he’s thriving and looking forward to performing again.
