Cox Farms and Feeding America Join Forces to Combat Hunger

ATLANTA — Cox Farms, the largest greenhouse operator in North America, has teamed up with Feeding America to fight food insecurity. Starting now, they will donate 3 million pounds of fresh produce each year to families in need across the U.S. and Canada. This initiative aims to improve access to healthy food and promote better nutrition for millions.
“We want to make a real difference,” said Steven Bradley, president of Cox Farms. “Our partnership with Feeding America is about providing fresh, nutritious food to those who need it most.” With modern greenhouse technology and sustainable practices, Cox Farms will supply a variety of produce, including lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, and peppers, throughout the year.
Feeding America, through its network of over 200 food banks and 60,000 meal programs, already helps distribute 5.9 billion meals a year. They also safely redirect 4 billion pounds of excess food to communities, helping to reduce waste. This partnership will enhance their effort to deliver fresh produce and support families facing hunger.
“Ending hunger requires teamwork,” said Erika Thiem, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Feeding America. “With Cox Farms, we will provide more nutritious food options all year long.”
Cox Farms operates more than 700 acres of greenhouses and employs over 2,500 people. They harvest 450 million pounds of fresh produce annually. Innovations in greenhouse technology are central to their mission of providing a reliable food supply, regardless of climate challenges.
This collaboration fits into Cox Enterprises’ broader goal to improve lives and empower communities. The initiative aims to help 34 million people by 2034, addressing not only hunger but also health challenges linked to inadequate nutrition.
