David Faustino Opens Up About Staying Close to Christina Applegate Amid Her MS Journey

Once a Bundy, always a Bundy.

David Faustino, who played Bud Bundy on Married… With Children, recently spoke about his friendship with Christina Applegate, who portrayed his sister Kelly. In a chat with Extra, Faustino mentioned, “We talk often. She’s helped me with a lot of things, and I hope I’m being there for her too.”

Christina has been honest about her battle with multiple sclerosis, a condition she revealed in 2021. She discusses this journey with fellow actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler on their podcast, MeSsy. Faustino expressed pride in her approach to this challenge, saying, “She’s getting through it with humor. She’s always been sarcastic and makes me laugh.”

The two will soon reunite for a special event in Los Angeles, “An Evening with The Bundys: The Married… with Children Cast Reunion.” They will be joined by Ed O’Neill (Al) and Katey Sagal (Peg). This event aims to support Race to Erase MS, a foundation that Christina feels passionately about. Faustino shared how they chose this cause together.

Even though the show ended its 11-season run in 1997, the bond between the cast has remained strong. Faustino and Applegate have kept in touch, and she has hosted her former co-stars on her podcast. When O’Neill appeared, Christina praised him as both “an incredible actor” and “an incredible human.”

In November 2022, when Christina received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, both Faustino and Sagal were there to celebrate with her. Faustino admired Christina’s bravery, noting her “fearlessness” from the very beginning.

These connections reflect a lasting friendship that extends beyond their sitcom days. The support among the cast shines through, offering a glimpse into their lives and how they continue to lift each other up.

This camaraderie also resonates with fans, reminding us of the bonds formed on and off-screen. In today’s world, where shared experiences shape our lives, it’s inspiring to see public figures advocate for important causes while supporting each other personally.
