GOP Representative Cory Mills from Florida is being investigated for an alleged assault, according to the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, D.C.

Police responded to a report of an assault at a Washington address on Wednesday.
Tom Lynch, a spokesperson for the MPD, confirmed that Mills is the focus of the investigation. His name is not mentioned in the official report, which is a common practice in active cases.
“I can confirm that Cory Mills is the subject being investigated for alleged assault,” Lynch stated.
The MPD has stated that it is an ongoing investigation and did not provide further details at this time.
Sarah Raviani, who is involved in the incident, reached out to law enforcement but noted that there was no violence. She described the situation as emotionally charged but affirmed that there was no physical altercation.
Raviani explained, “I was severely jet-lagged and sleep-deprived after a long flight and had been drinking.”
When police arrived, they observed some bruising on Raviani’s arms, which she attributed to medical conditions like eczema and recent activities from a trip to Dubai.
She asserted that the situation has been “misrepresented” and has led to ongoing harassment from various sources.
In response to the investigation, a spokesperson for Congressman Mills denied any wrongdoing, emphasizing that Mills believes the inquiry will clear the matter swiftly.
“This week, law enforcement was asked to resolve a private matter at Congressman Mills’ residence,” the spokesperson said, firmly stating, “Congressman Mills vehemently denies any wrongdoing whatsoever.”
Additional updates will follow as more information becomes available.
