The FDA has announced a recall of several snack products in New York.
ZB Importing LLC is pulling back specific lots of six types of Ulker Brand snacks, biscuits, and wafers due to mislabeling. The affected items have been sold across nearly 40 states, including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
Here’s what’s being recalled:
- Ulker snack rolls
- Ulker biscuits
- Ulker wafers
If you’ve bought any of these products, it’s best to return them to the store for a full refund.
The recall was initiated because some items did not clearly state they contained wheat, eggs, or milk. This is important because these ingredients can trigger serious allergic reactions in some people. The issue came to light after a customer had an allergic reaction, prompting the recall.
The company explained that the problem arose from a supplier who didn’t fully disclose allergens when translating the ingredient list. They are now working to improve labeling accuracy and implement stricter controls.
Stay safe and check your snacks to ensure you are not at risk. It’s always essential to read labels carefully, especially if you have food allergies.
