Knott’s Merry Farm is ready for the holidays! From beautiful decorations to exciting shows, there’s something for everyone. A standout this year is the Roofus sandwich at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant. This massive sandwich features fried chicken patties, slaw, and garlic aioli, all on a giant brioche bun. Executive Chef Tre Hardy shared that the goal was to create a meal that truly impresses guests. “We wanted to offer something unique that’s not found everywhere,” he said.
The shareable meals here don’t disappoint. They range from $40 to $50 and include a large salad. You can also find about 75 new food items throughout the park, adding to the festive spirit. A returning favorite is the turkey corn dog, which comes with a delightful stuffing crust and boysenberry mustard.
Merry Farm runs until January 4 and is packed with entertainment. One highlight is the nightly ‘Tis the Season Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, featuring a sparkling new 50-foot tree. Production Manager Christopher Do emphasized the importance of creating a memorable experience for families. “We aim to keep guests entertained and happy with new elements in our shows,” he said.
This year’s performances include “Home for the Holidays” and “Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas.” Do mentioned that each show is tailored to bring something special. For example, “Home for the Holidays” follows the Harper family and captures a cozy, hometown Christmas vibe. Recent studies show that holiday traditions are vital for many families, with events like these becoming cherished rituals. According to a 2022 survey by Eventbrite, 60% of people believe that attending holiday events enhances their overall festive experience.
Merchandise also plays a big role in the holiday festivities at Knott’s. This year, there are around 20 new items available, including an interactive light-up toy that produces bubbles. Manager James Kearns-Heath explained how this toy can activate features around the park, like changing colors on rides. “It’s a fun way for kids to engage with the park,” he said.
To wrap up the holiday season, guests can enjoy a special Christmas jam that combines cranberries, raspberries, and spices. “It’s like Christmas in a jar,” Kearns-Heath added. With its lively atmosphere, exciting food, and entertainment, Knott’s Merry Farm is a delightful destination for holiday cheer!
