Can you really get breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Los Angeles for $25? It’s a tough challenge, but we found some tasty options that won’t break the bank.
Our goal was to find casual spots where you can grab takeout without spending too much. We visited a Cantonese noodle place in San Gabriel Valley and an Argentine bistro in Exposition Park, among others.
Breakfast
Bagels By Kneady
I started my day at this new pop-up spot in USC Village. They’re serving hand-rolled sourdough bagels that are freshly baked each day. I opted for the Sugar Mamma bagel with maple cream cheese and berry jam for just $6.49. It was sweet but not overwhelming, a perfect way to kick off my morning.
Not only are the bagels tasty, but they also offer plenty of affordable options. The most expensive bagels here are $12, topped with fancy ingredients like lox or cheesy scrambled eggs. This spot is perfect for a quick breakfast or coffee break!
Lunch
Guisados
For lunch, I headed to Guisados for their famous fish taco. At $6.42, it’s a steal! The fish is tender and layered with spicy black beans, fresh pico de gallo, and a creamy avocado sauce. The place is known for its homemade corn tortillas that enhance every bite. They have several locations across the city, making it easy to satisfy those taco cravings.
Dinner
The Win-Dow
For dinner, I went to The Win-Dow, where I could grab a cheeseburger for only $7.72. This walk-up window serves some of the best smash burgers around. My burger was juicy and topped with melted cheese, pickles, and house sauce, all packed into a fresh bun. The flavors were fantastic, and I was pleasantly surprised given the price.
With each meal totaling around $24.84, I achieved my goal of enjoying three delicious meals without exceeding $25. It’s definitely possible to eat well in L.A. while sticking to a budget!
