“We’ll always have staple items like beans, peanut butter, and pasta,” Castillo reassures. Although support from the Federal Government is expected to continue, the amount of food might vary. Food banks can also purchase food using donations from local grocery stores and residents.

Recently, studies show that food banks across the nation are experiencing a surge in demand. The Feeding America network reported a 30% increase in visits to food banks since the start of 2020. This aligns with national trends indicating rising food prices and economic challenges faced by many families.
