Ann Arbor, Mich: In their last meet before the championships, the No. 4 Denison women’s swimming and diving team faced off against the Division I University of Michigan Wolverines. The Big Red lost 202-87, but it served as valuable practice for the upcoming North Coast Athletic Conference Championships.
Standout Performers:
Despite the defeat, Denison saw some impressive individual results. Five different swimmers secured third-place finishes: Avery Anderson clocked 2:03.19 in the 200 Back, Erika Schraber finished the 200 Fly in 2:10.08, and Jassy Park swam the 100 Back in 55.87 (B-cut). Additionally, Emily Harris claimed third in the 200 Free at 1:49.42 (B-cut), while Quinn Brown wrapped up the list with a time of 10:09.38 in the 1000 Free.
Diving Highlights:
Senior diver Fernanda Anzures also made her mark, finishing third in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, scoring 191.63 and 169.50 points, respectively.

- 4th in the 400 Medley Relay: Jassy Park, Gwen Bakker, Emily Harris, Ollie Morse – 3:46.39 (B-cut)
- 4th in the 100 Back: Avery Anderson – 57.03
- 4th in the 100 Breast: Drue Thielking – 1:03.47 (B-cut)
Additional fourth-place finishes included Kayla Tehrani in the 200 Fly, Ollie Morse in the 100 Free, and Quinn Brown in the 500 Free. Many other events saw the team close behind, showcasing their depth and competitiveness.

Denison is taking a breather from competition this week as they prepare for the NCAC Swimming and Diving Championships. The event will be held at the Trumbull Aquatic Center from February 11 to 14.
