CARMEL, Calif. – Freshman Sebastian Desoisa is leading after two rounds at the Preserve Golf Club. The Oregon team is tied for third place, but play was paused due to darkness.
Oregon started strong, posting a team score of 10-under 278 in the opening round, just three shots off the lead. In the second round, they built on that with a score of 9-under 257. This solid performance keeps them in a strong position as they look to end their fall season on a high note. Senior Jay Gould-Healy was just outside the top ten with a few holes left in his round.
Head coach Casey Martin praised the team, noting, “The guys played well today. It has been a tough fall, but today we got some putts to drop. Amazing to watch Seb [Desoisa] play. He was flawless all day.”
