As the attacks unfolded, a series of explosions rocked Kyiv, starting around 1:30 a.m. local time. Eyewitnesses reported a chilling pattern of explosions throughout the early morning hours, accompanied by power outages.
The chaos didn’t only affect the capital. Nearby communities like Bucha and Vyshgorod also suffered damage as homes were hit. In Dnipro, destruction was widespread, with photos revealing collapsed buildings. Mayor Borys Filatov noted that nearly 49 residences were damaged, while seven structures were “practically destroyed.”
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha vehemently condemned Russia’s actions.
