HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Dickinson men’s basketball team faced a tough challenge on Sunday, playing the University of Mount Union just a day after a close match with Montclair State. The game ended with Dickinson losing 74-59.
In the first half, Mount Union took an early lead, going up 8-3. But Dickinson fought back, taking the lead 13-12 with contributions from Cole Cosby, Byrce Donovan, and Joey Dopirak. The game was tight, with both teams trading baskets. By halftime, the score was a narrow 32-31 in favor of Mount Union.
As the second half began, Dickinson tied the game again at 38-38. However, Mount Union responded with a strong 13-4 run, pulling ahead to 51-42. Despite efforts from players like Moran and Pichay, Dickinson struggled to close the gap. A final push from Cosby brought the score to 74-59.
Top Performers
For Dickinson, Cosby and Moran each scored 15 points, with Pichay adding 12. On the boards, Moran, Andrew Cerullo, and Juan Ruiz each grabbed six rebounds. Pichay also led in assists with four.
For Mount Union, Chance Casenhiser stood out with 24 points, while teammate Farrington added 16 points and 12 rebounds.
