With Venu Sports shutting down, DirecTV is stepping in to take its place. They are introducing a new streaming service called MySports.

MySports aims to provide a variety of channels, offering many of the same options as Venu, plus even more. However, it comes at a higher price—$70 a month compared to Venu’s planned $43.

This new service will include major networks like ABC, NBC, and Fox, along with popular cable channels like ESPN, TNT, TBS, USA Network, and Fox Sports 1. Sports fans will also enjoy channels like NFL Network, NBA TV, and MLB Network, totaling over 40 channels. But it’s important to note that CBS and other Paramount Global channels won’t be part of the package.

Bill Morrow, CEO of DirecTV, explained that MySports aims to give viewers more options and greater control over what they watch. This launch is just the beginning, as DirecTV plans to roll out more genre-focused services soon.

This new offering follows a recent agreement between DirecTV and The Walt Disney Co., which allowed for these targeted options. ESPN is also preparing to launch its own direct service later this year, highlighting the growing demand for sports content.

Initially, MySports will be available in 24 markets, including major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and the San Francisco Bay Area, with plans to expand to more locations soon.
