Discover Affordable, Comforting Perkins American Cuisine Making Its Texas Debut in Crowley!

A well-loved family restaurant is about to make its debut in Texas: Perkins American Food Co. This brand, famous for its hearty meals and bakery goodies, started in 1958 as a simple pancake house in Ohio. Now, they’re set to open their first Texas location in Crowley by fall 2026.

This move marks a significant step in Perkins’ growth, as it’s their first entry into Texas in over 65 years. The Crowley restaurant will feature a fresh design and updated menu, inspired by their recent flagship store opening in Orlando, Florida.

Perkins, also known as Perkins Pancake House, serves generous portions of classic American dishes at affordable prices. They currently run nearly 300 locations across the U.S. and Canada. Owned by Ascent Hospitality Management, their commitment to quality and service remains strong since their founding.

The new restaurant design blends a sense of nostalgia with modern touches. While they’re known for breakfast favorites like omelets and French toast, the updated menu includes shareable appetizers, lighter options, and hearty entrées like pot roast with home-style sides—all starting around $13.29.

Local entrepreneurs Shaikh Satter and Sanjida Khatoon are bringing Perkins to Crowley. With their experience running 7-Eleven stores in the DFW area, they see this restaurant venture as exciting. Satter expresses, “It’s a special moment for our family. Perkins provides an authentic American dining experience, and we can’t wait to share it with our community.”

Experts in the restaurant industry note that diversifying into different dining styles could be a smart move, especially as consumers seek more family-focused dining options post-pandemic. Recent surveys show that 70% of families prefer dining out together at casual restaurants like Perkins.

As Perkins evolves, it remains true to its roots while embracing new trends, proving that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand. If you’re in the area, keep an eye out for this new spot!
