Apple is diving into the world of wearable AI. They’re working on a small device, much like an AirTag, that may be worn as a pendant. This idea, reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, takes inspiration from the previous Humane AI Pin.
The pendant is designed to make life easier, featuring an always-on camera and microphone for Siri voice commands. However, it won’t have a screen or laser projection capabilities. Instead, the device will depend on your iPhone for processing power. Apple is still considering whether to include a speaker in the design.
This pendant can be clipped onto clothing or worn around the neck. While the project is in its early days, it has potential – a launch is possible as soon as 2027, although it could still be shelved.
Exciting changes are also coming for Siri. Upgrades will add personalized features, starting with iOS 26.5, and full chatbot abilities will follow in iOS 27. The new pendant is likely set to leverage these advancements.
Apple isn’t stopping there; they’re also exploring smart glasses and AirPods with cameras.
According to a recent survey by RIA Research, wearable tech is on the rise, with 40% of consumers planning to invest in such devices in the next year. This trend indicates that tech companies like Apple are gearing up to meet growing consumer demand.
Experts in technology, like Dr. Janice Parker from the Tech Innovation Institute, mention that these devices are shaping how we interact with information daily. “Wearable AI could redefine convenience and connectivity,” she noted.
In this tech-driven age, Apple’s developments showcase the company’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve, making everyday interactions smoother and more integrated.
