Discover Asia’s Premier Food Trade Show: THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2025 Returns from May 27–31!

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and its partners are set to host “THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2025,” Asia’s top food and beverage trade show. Mark your calendars: it’s happening from May 27 to 31, 2025, at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.

This event is all about helping entrepreneurs explore new products, business deals, and fresh ideas. It showcases Thailand’s strengths in the food industry. Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, the Director-General of DITP, emphasized that Thailand is rich in diverse raw materials and has a vibrant food culture, making it a global player in this sector. The "Thai Kitchen to the World" initiative aims to raise Thailand’s food profile internationally.

The DITP has a solid history. They’ve launched over 700 initiatives to push Thai trade, aiming to generate 92 billion baht in trade value while supporting more than 260,000 businesses. Their global network has recognized over 1,700 establishments through the Thai SELECT certification, recently enhanced with a new ‘Star of Honour’ for culinary excellence.

THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2025 promises to be an exciting event with more than 3,200 exhibitors from over 56 countries, expecting around 90,000 visitors. The projected trade value from quick purchase orders could surpass 98 billion baht.

Dr. Kitsana Vachekrilas from the Thai Chamber of Commerce noted that Thailand is now the 12th largest food exporter globally, with food export values projected to reach 1.75 trillion baht in 2025. This growth is set against the backdrop of rising global food demand, particularly for plant-based and organic products, which will be prominently featured at the show.

In 2024, a small Thai SME gained global recognition after winning the THAIFEX – ANUGA Taste Innovation Award. This not only boosted their brand but also led to a trade deal with a buyer from India. It illustrates how participating in such trade shows can unlock international opportunities for local businesses.

Mr. Mathias Kuepper from Koelnmesse Asia Pacific highlighted the show’s role in responding to fast-evolving consumer trends. New products often debut here, transforming innovative ideas into market-ready solutions.

The 2025 event expects over 1,184 Thai exhibitors, including many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), signaling Thailand’s robust potential in food innovation. The presence of international exhibitors from regions like Europe and Africa also signifies a growing global interest.

Recent trends show a heightened focus on sustainable and health-conscious products, with buyers keen on innovations that cater to changing consumer preferences. The inclusion of events like the THAIFEX – ANUGA Taste Innovation Show and the Future Food Experience+ will spotlight creative solutions tied to current global food challenges.
