Discover Britt Lower: The Rising Star from ‘Severance’ Everyone Is Buzzing About!

Britt Lower is becoming a well-known name, thanks to her role in the AppleTV+ show *Severance.* This science fiction series has gained a lot of praise since it started in February 2022. Season 2 kicked off with its first episode on January 17, and viewers are eagerly awaiting the final episode on March 21.

In *Severance,* we follow workers at a secretive biotech company. They undergo a procedure called “severance,” making them forget everything outside of work while they’re on the job, and vice versa. Each character has two sides: the ‘Innie’ they are at work, and the ‘Outie’ they are when off the clock. Britt Lower shines as Helly Riggs, a rebellious ‘Innie’ who challenges the status quo.

In an interview, Lower shared her excitement about playing Helly: “I was attracted to her humor and vulnerability alongside her strength. She stands up for what is right.” This complexity makes Helly a compelling character.

Britt Lower, now 39, has built her career with notable roles. Early on, she appeared in *Unforgettable*, a crime drama, and had a role in the romantic comedy *Man Seeking Woman.* She studied communication at Northwestern University, where she graduated in 2008. Lower also had guest spots in popular shows like *Law & Order* and *It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.* However, her portrayal in *Severance* has brought her the most recognition, earning her accolades such as Best Actress in a Streaming Series at the Hollywood Critics Association Television Awards in 2022.

As for her personal life, Britt Lower keeps it private. Little is known about her romantic relationships. Instead, she has talked openly about her passion for the circus. While on break from filming in 2022, she got the chance to join a one-ring circus as a character named Steven, who played the ukulele.

Lower expressed her love for circus arts: “I’ve always been fascinated by the circus. It’s all about fun and a bit of mischief.” Performing alongside the famous Flying Wallenda family fulfilled a dream for her, making the experience unforgettable.
