Discover Delicious Asian Cuisine at Buns on the Run in Ritz Eats Food Court!

Todd Hardisty is excited when he talks about Bao, a tasty Asian bun served at his food truck, Buns on the Run. “It’s a light, fluffy bun filled with delicious ingredients,” he shares. Located in the Ritz Eatz Food Truck Park in Lewiston, Hardisty and his fiancée, Sherri Skalicky, have created a menu that captivates food lovers.

One standout filling is Asian glazed pork belly, topped with apple Asian pear salad. They also offer huckleberry whiskey bacon jam with brisket from Missy Moo’s Bar-B-Que. Another popular choice is a pickle-brined chicken thigh with balsamic aioli, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. The brining method makes the chicken exceptionally tender, adding a mild pickle flavor that many find delightful.

Hardisty is always experimenting with new flavors. He’s developing a version with orange chicken and pickled veggies, and plans for a breaded fish or sautéed shrimp bao. “We steam the buns fresh each day we serve them,” he says, ensuring quality and taste.

In addition to baos, the menu features a mix of Asian fusion dishes. There’s “Redneck Ramen,” blending noodles with brisket slices from Missy Moo’s. They also serve macaroni and cheese egg rolls, drizzled with sweet chili sauce, and a hearty beanless chili.

Food trends show that fusion cuisine is on the rise. According to a recent report by the National Restaurant Association, nearly 50% of diners are eager to try new flavors. People are increasingly drawn to unique culinary experiences that combine different cultural elements.

Social media also reflects this trend, with hashtags like #FoodFusion and #AsianFood trending. Diners share their experiences, bringing more attention to innovative food combinations like those at Buns on the Run.

For anyone looking to dive into exciting flavors, Buns on the Run offers a fresh take on Asian cuisine that is sure to please.
