Discover Food Freaks: New Exciting Storefront Opens on East Innes in Salisbury!

Food Freaks Sets Up Shop on East Innes

Salisbury has a new foodie spot! Food Freaks, the beloved burger truck from North Carolina, has opened a storefront at 115 East Innes Street. The grand opening this weekend marks an exciting change for this local favorite.

Chef and owner Brandon Cassidy is eager to create more than just tasty burgers. He envisions his restaurant as a culinary adventure for everyone. “Cooking brings me joy,” Cassidy shares. His approach is rooted in creativity and fresh ingredients, similar to Erin French of the Lost Kitchen in Maine, who crafts unique dining experiences from local finds.

Food Freaks is keeping some popular truck offerings, but diners can also expect new and inventive burgers. Unique toppings like peanut butter banana chutney and jalapeño fig jam will add a twist to each bite. One standout item is the famed tequila peach burger, recognized for its delicious mix of flavors and award-winning recipes. When peaches are in season, Cassidy will announce it with a sign that draws in eager customers.

While the prices may be higher than typical burger joints, Cassidy believes in the quality of his ingredients and the experience he offers. “I want people to feel they paid for something special,” he says.

The donut lover in all of us will rejoice as well. Starting early each morning, Cassidy will also serve his famed donuts from Glazed N Dazed. Crafting the perfect donut took 18 months of experimentation, and he takes pride in his homemade dough and yeast.

The community welcomed Cassidy and his family at the official ribbon cutting ceremony on October 30. This weekend, Food Freaks will be open for brunch and will keep its morning donut offerings going forward.

With this new brick-and-mortar location, Food Freaks is set to reshape the dining scene in Salisbury, delivering both comforting meals and an unforgettable culinary experience.
