Discover Fresno State’s Innovative Programs at the World’s Largest Agricultural Exposition!

Fresno State Shines at the World Ag Expo

This February, Fresno State will showcase its agricultural programs at the 58th annual World Ag Expo. This exciting event runs from February 11 to 13 at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California.

At the expo, faculty, staff, and students from Fresno State will be actively involved. The Institute for Food and Agriculture and the Water, Energy and Technology Center will be leading seminars. These discussions will cover various topics, including art, artificial intelligence, cheese analysis, dairy innovation, entrepreneurship, food insecurity, and wine yeast research. The seminars will take place on February 11 in Seminar Trailer 1.

Fresno State’s Agricultural Ambassador Program will also host an information booth daily at 9 a.m. at the Ag Education and Careers Pavilion, Booth 7002-03. Students will share valuable insights into the programs available at the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.

The university mascot, Victor E. Bulldog IV, will be available for photos on February 12 at 11 a.m. Additionally, Dr. Rolston St. Hilaire, the dean of the Jordan College, will host an ice cream social at the ambassador booth on February 13 at 10:30 a.m.

The World Ag Expo attracts over 100,000 attendees from across the United States and more than 70 countries. This year, the expo will feature around 1,200 exhibitors and about 90 seminars across its expansive 2.6 million square feet.

Fresno State’s Jordan College plays a significant role in Central Valley agriculture, benefiting from the university’s 1,000-acre University Agricultural Laboratory. This facility allows students to engage directly with various commodities produced in the Central Valley, which is known for supplying over half of the nation’s fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Notably, the Fresno State Winery holds the title of the nation’s first bonded winery on a college campus.
