Lantana is buzzing with excitement as Gillian Brown steps into her new role as Community Lifestyle Director. Previously the go-to administrative assistant, she’s now leading events and programs that bring residents together.
Gillian has a rich background. She spent three years moving up in a construction company and also helped small businesses with bookkeeping. Beyond her desk, she’s a creative soul, running a small business where she sells handmade crafts at local fairs. “Seeing people’s excitement over my creations is so rewarding,” she shares.
Travel is another passion for Gillian. She fondly remembers her 21st birthday trip to Arizona, where she explored the wonders of the Grand Canyon and Flagstaff. Family is important to her too; being one of eight siblings keeps her life lively and full. “I’m the third oldest, with siblings ranging from 31 to 12 years,” she notes.
In her director role, Gillian handles everything from managing vendors to planning menus for Lantana’s events. “I want every event to be enjoyable and within budget,” she says. She’s already planning exciting activities, including a STEM camp for teens, evening programs for working families, and monthly weekend events.
Gillian emphasizes the importance of community involvement. “I’m eager to hear everyone’s ideas and want our programs to reflect Lantana’s diversity,” she explains. She invites residents to volunteer, even for smaller gatherings, and values collaboration.
“Growing the Lifestyle Program is a thrilling challenge I embrace,” she adds. You can reach her at Gillian’s Email or call 940-728-1660.
