Wear Widgets come in two sizes: 2×2 (large) and 2×1 (small). They look a lot like Android widgets, and that’s intentional. This shared design allows developers to create widgets more easily for the Pixel Watch.

The latest Galaxy Watch 8 series features a revamped tile design in its Wear OS 6/One UI Watch 8 setup. Users can now stack various info cards next to the main watch face, making navigation more intuitive and efficient.
Google describes these widgets as “flexible and dynamic.” However, they’ve only mentioned the two available sizes so far, with more details likely to come when Wear OS 7 launches.
Several popular apps are on board, including Spotify, WhatsApp, Peloton, and Todoist, making the transition to widgets seamless. A survey conducted by TechCrunch found that users prefer customizable interfaces, highlighting the growing demand for such features in wearable technology. This user feedback suggests that the new Wear Widgets may meet the expectations of many smartwatch owners.
