Discover How Rehoboth’s Coastal Lifestyle Captivated Vince Nikolov

Vince Nikolov has reached a significant milestone by acquiring the Design Center of Rehoboth (DCOR). After 12 years with the company, he’s now the sole owner of a well-known interior design firm in Rehoboth Beach. Vince joined DCOR back in 2013 and has always dreamed of leading an interior design studio.

He credits his time working with Ed Albers and Michael Cusumano as key to his growth. “In this business, we focus on solutions, not problems,” he says. This mindset has helped shape the company’s culture and success.

Originally from Bulgaria, Vince’s passion for design began early. He studied furniture design and space planning before moving to Sofia Technical University. While in college, a student exchange program brought him to Rehoboth Beach. He instantly fell for its coastal charm. Gaining experience in retail, Vince seized the chance to dive into the local design scene, leading to his interview with DCOR, which set the stage for his career.

Now, as a business owner, Vince is keenly aware of the competitive landscape. He aims to deliver top-notch design services while strategically expanding DCOR. Building connections with other professionals is a priority for him. He also focuses on a vibrant social media presence, showcasing projects from start to finish.

When it comes to technology, Vince embraces the role of AI in interior design. He sees it as a tool to help clients better visualize their preferences. This integration can boost client engagement and enhance the design journey.

Understanding local demographics is vital for Vince. In areas with many vacation homes, clients often think differently about interior design investments. Successful businesses must grasp these unique perspectives.

Having lived in Rehoboth for over ten years, Vince values community relationships. He’s dedicated to enhancing local culture through initiatives like the Designer Showhouse project and the Rehoboth Art League Cottage Tour, where DCOR has actively participated.

A proud moment for Vince was becoming a U.S. citizen in 2017. For him, it represents freedom and opportunity. He believes that hard work leads to success in America.

If he could advise his younger self, he would stress the importance of staying present and focused. “Invest your time in what genuinely fulfills you,” he says. Clients can be assured of Vince’s commitment to their satisfaction as he works tirelessly to deliver exceptional results.

In today’s fast-paced world, Vince’s approach combines a deep understanding of design with a personal touch, making him a notable figure in the Rehoboth Beach community.
