Discover Innovation: Explore Bharat’s Investor Showcase in Bengaluru!

The Bharat Innovates Investor Showcase took place in Bengaluru on May 19, 2026. Organized by the Ministry of Education and the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association, this event featured 24 promising deep-tech start-ups. These innovators were selected by a panel of leading investors, giving them a golden opportunity to connect with potential backers.

Over 90 investors participated, managing more than $85 billion in assets. Notable firms like Accel, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Sony Innovation Fund were in attendance. This gathering marks an important step forward for Indian start-ups ahead of the upcoming Bharat Innovates 2026 event in Nice, France.

Smt. Saumya Gupta from the Ministry of Education highlighted how Bharat Innovates aims to create direct connections between Indian deep-tech founders and long-term investors. This platform is designed to help these innovators scale globally.

Industry experts, including Sh. Prashanth Prakash from Accel, emphasized the initiative’s goal to place Indian research-led ventures at the forefront of international investment. They aim to bridge gaps between Indian innovators and global markets.

The showcased start-ups spanned various fields, including space technology, electric aviation, biotechnology, and clean energy. Each entrepreneur presented their ideas in a concise format, allowing for engagement with investors afterward. Many investors expressed interest in pursuing further discussions with these start-ups.

This showcase is part of a series of events leading up to Bharat Innovates 2026, which will gather around 120 research-backed deep-tech ventures. This flagship event will take place in Nice from June 14–16, 2026, and aims to connect Indian innovators with industry leaders worldwide.

Bharat Innovates focuses on advancing various sectors like Advanced Computing, Semiconductors, and Biotechnology. This initiative will help open new pathways for these Indian ventures to reach global markets.

According to recent surveys, deep-tech companies are gaining traction globally, with investments in this sector skyrocketing. In 2022 alone, global investment in deep-tech reached $90 billion, indicating strong faith in innovation and technology to shape the future.

Overall, the Bharat Innovates Investor Showcase not only highlights the potential of Indian startups but also reflects a growing trend where innovative solutions are prioritized to tackle global challenges. By connecting with global investors, these start-ups are poised to make a lasting impact.
