Denver’s Exclusive Resorts Investments LLC has revealed The Exclusive Collective, a new luxury travel and lifestyle platform for high-net-worth individuals and families. This initiative includes the acquisition of Inspirato, a Denver-based luxury travel subscription company, for approximately $59 million. Inspirato will join Exclusive Resorts and onefinestay, both of which offer unique luxury experiences.
Exclusive Resorts will buy Inspirato for $4.27 a share, a significant premium from its recent closing price. The goal is to create a vast network of luxury hospitality services worldwide. While Inspirato will continue to operate independently, it will expand its subscription-based offerings.
The Exclusive Collective aims to foster lasting customer relationships rather than fleeting transactions. Each brand has a specific role: Exclusive Resorts serves a smaller, referral-based community of families; Inspirato offers flexible subscriptions for a broader audience; and onefinestay provides an exclusive portfolio of luxury rental homes.
Once the Inspirato deal is finalized, The Exclusive Collective will cater to over 25,000 high-net-worth travelers each year, supported by a substantial portfolio of residences globally. According to market predictions, the initiative is expected to generate over $500 million in revenue by 2026.
James Henderson, CEO of The Exclusive Collective, emphasizes that this initiative is about enhancing choice and continuity. He notes how travel needs evolve over time, as people transition from flexible trips to private memberships. “Bringing these brands together is about being more relevant and attuned to how people spend their time,” Henderson states.
Steve Case, one of the founders of AOL and a major investor in Exclusive Resorts, believes this merger will redefine luxury hospitality. He highlights the importance of community and personalized experiences in today’s travel industry. With shifting consumer expectations, The Exclusive Collective is poised to innovate by providing flexible and enriching travel experiences.
