The McDonough County Health Department has relaunched the ‘Dine Smart’ website. This platform offers the latest health inspection reports for licensed food businesses in McDonough County.

Created with help from the Western Illinois University (WIU) GIS Center, Dine Smart is an interactive tool. It helps you choose where to eat based on recent health inspections.
Dine Smart first launched in 2015 and quickly became a go-to resource. It provides detailed reports on restaurants, grocery stores, healthcare facilities, and other places that serve food.
With new software upgrades and in celebration of the health department’s 50th anniversary, the website has been updated. It now features better functionality and enhanced options.
You can search by establishment name or location, check inspection histories, and learn about food safety practices. This website is free and easy to use, making it a great resource for everyone.
The new Dine Smart site not only helps you make informed dining choices but also encourages transparency and promotes food safety in our community.
For more details, you can reach out to the McDonough County Health Department at 309-837-9951 ext. 2070 or visit the Dine Smart website.
