Montrose Regional Health has taken a big step forward in healthcare for western Colorado by opening its new Ambulatory Care Center (ACC). This modern facility, located at 3330 S. Rio Grande Avenue in the busy River Landing area, spans over 87,000 square feet. It brings together many outpatient services that were once scattered across different locations.
Montrose, situated near the stunning San Juan Mountains, is not only a beautiful spot but also a vital hub for healthcare. Montrose Regional Health serves a vast area—seven counties—larger than Vermont. This new center will help provide better care for everyone in that region.
The ACC was developed in collaboration with NexCore Group, a well-known healthcare real estate firm based in Denver. It aims to create a smoother experience for patients. Local physicians and Cedar Point Health have also played a role in this project, ensuring the community is well represented in its development.
Jim Hartmann from NexCore shared, “This facility marks a big moment for Montrose Regional Health. It’s not just about the building; it’s about new services, better efficiency, and more care options.” The center will host outpatient services and Cedar Point Health’s office, which takes up a large portion of the space.
Since opening, the ACC has seen a rise in patient visits and improved healthcare delivery. Hartmann noted, “This project has helped Montrose boost its offerings, attract new specialists, and stay competitive against larger health systems. The community’s feedback has been very encouraging.”
Interestingly, the ACC has already gained recognition. It is a finalist for the 2024 HREI Insights Awards in the Best Medical Office Building category, showcasing its architectural and functional excellence.
This new center reflects Montrose Regional Health’s ongoing commitment to provide top-notch care right in the community, making healthcare both accessible and convenient for residents of southwestern Colorado.
