Can you believe the semester is almost over? We’re in the final stretch!
During my time on campus, I’ve discovered some amazing study spots that really help me concentrate and ace my exams. As someone who works in the Office of Media and Public Relations, I couldn’t resist making videos about these favorite spots. I even asked other students at Binghamton to share their go-tos!
Here are my top study spots. Notice a pattern?
1. Innovation Lab
The Innovation Lab wins for its central location. It’s near dorms, dining halls, and printers. The big windows fill the space with natural light, keeping me focused. Plus, there are outlets everywhere!
2. Science 2
I often teach ballroom dance classes in Science 2. After class, I stay to study at the tables by the windows, especially on the upper floors, where I can catch stunning sunset views. It’s usually quiet, perfect for focusing.
3. Computer Lab
I love the Computer Lab because it lets me use both my laptop and the desktop. With a large screen, I can manage multiple tabs easily. It’s also close to snacks and a dining hall, making breaks quick and convenient.
4. Bartle Library Third Floor
The Third Floor of Bartle Library is new and filled with comfy seating options. I enjoy finding a new spot each time. The natural light is fantastic, too; I always try for a seat by the window. Check it out on our TikTok.
5. Bartle Library Fourth Floor
While the Third Floor is popular, I prefer the Fourth Floor. It’s less crowded and perfect for group studies. I love the study rooms with big windows—great for collaboration!
6. Jazzman’s Booths
Finding a booth at Jazzman’s feels like winning! They’re comfy and have outlets. Plus, it’s near the Library Tower Café for snacks between study sessions.
7. Hinman Success Center
The Hinman Success Center is perfect for a change of scenery. I love the corner windows and quiet atmosphere. The whiteboards are a big plus—I use them for math problems and study maps!
8. C4 Couches
If I want to do light work, I head to the C4 Couches. The cozy atmosphere and large windows make it a great spot. Occasionally, someone plays piano nearby, adding a nice touch to my study session. And if I get hungry, the dining hall is just below!
9. Appalachian Collegiate Center
The Appalachian Collegiate Center in Mountainview is another fantastic spot. At night, it has the best ice cream and late-night food. During the day, it’s also near the Success Center for study resources.
10. Strange Brew (Downtown)
As a coffee lover, I can’t skip Strange Brew. Their cozy vibe and great coffee make it an ideal study location. We even made a video about it for National Coffee Day. Studying here is as much about enjoying the atmosphere as it is about getting work done.
As you can see, I always look for big windows and food nearby when choosing a study spot. I hope you enjoyed my list! If you know more great places at Binghamton, let me know!
