Best New Pop-Up went to M’Maht, a project by Bronx chef Pauline Buth. This pop-up showcases Cambodian cuisine, with dishes inspired by her family traditions. Buth’s menu has featured tasty items like soy-garlic wings and grilled coconut corn, served in places like Brooklyn’s Commune and Greenpoint’s Lise & Vito.

Hustler of the Year went to DM Dinners, a unique dinner series by Dan Mollitor known for its exclusive guest lists and sold-out events. Most Consistently Delicious was awarded to Piscator, led by Mason Acevedo, who focuses on seafood.

Individual dishes also earned recognition. The Drop of the Year was the Knafeh Pancake from Hen House, a treat that gained popularity far beyond its initial run. For Collab of the Year, the Jerk Chicken Patacon by CMarty’s Jerk and Titi’s Empanadas combined the best of both worlds for a must-try dish.

The awards also noted when pop-ups grow into permanent restaurants. Bong, led by Chakriya Un and Alexander Chaparro, made the leap, moving towards a full-service eatery that will feature traditional Cambodian favorites like kuy teav and num pang paté.

Other notable winners included Loser’s Eating House for Best Pastry Pop-Up and Lise & Vito for best supporting role in uplifting new chefs. BagelFest was named Best of the Fests, emphasizing its transition into a real competition instead of just a fun event. CMarty’s Jerk also received praise for Best Pop-Up Marketing, while Papi Tropical won the People’s Choice Award.

Even behind the scenes, recognition was given to Juan Lopez, named Dishwasher of the Year from Bar Americano. This highlights the importance of every team member in making these pop-ups successful.
