ORIJEN is stepping into the fresh pet food arena with their new line called FRESHPREY. These recipes focus on the brand’s WholePrey approach, offering a gentle cooking method that preserves nutrients and flavor.
Each FRESHPREY recipe features fresh or raw animal ingredients, such as meat, organs, and bones, prominently listed as the first five ingredients. FRESHPREY will debut exclusively at Petco this month, with plans to expand to Chewy.com and other specialty pet stores in April. The line includes 16-ounce packs and seven-count boxes in flavors like Beef, Pork & Lamb; Turkey, Salmon & Pork; and Chicken & Duck.
In a unique promotional effort, ORIJEN teamed up with pet influencers from Wander with Willow for what they’ve dubbed the “World’s Most Extreme Unboxing,” taking place in the breathtaking Red Mountains of Colorado.
This launch is particularly interesting given the growing trend towards fresh pet food. According to a recent survey by the American Pet Products Association, nearly 38% of pet owners now prefer fresh or raw diets for their pets. This shift reflects a broader awareness of the importance of nutrition in pet health.
