Samsonite, the well-known lifestyle brand, recently announced its second pop-up exhibition to celebrate its 115th anniversary. This event will take place on the basement floor of Lotte World Tower Avenuel in Jamsil.
Earlier this year, Samsonite kicked off its first pop-up exhibition at “Schedule Cheongdam” in Gangnam, Seoul, where they creatively reimagined the experience of train travel from the 1940s. Many visitors enjoyed this unique experience, which showcased the brand’s heritage while blending seamlessly into the dining space.
This new pop-up, running until July 10, continues that theme. It showcases the limited edition “New Streamlight” collection alongside vintage products like the original “Streamlight” from the 1940s, offering a fascinating look at how Samsonite’s technology and design have evolved over more than a century.
One highlight is a recreated U.S. train compartment from the 1940s, complete with a video display that mimics the view from a train window. This immersive setup transports visitors back in time, making them feel like they’re on an actual train journey.
For those seeking a fun memento, there’s a self-photo booth called “SAMSONITE TIMES.” Visitors can take free photos with props and print them in a newspaper format, creating lasting memories from their visit.
During the exhibition, there are also great offers. Shoppers can snag a large ‘EVOA’ carrier, a global bestseller, at 50% off. Premium lines like “Richmond II” and “Major-Lite” are available at a 20% discount. Plus, visitors who follow Samsonite’s official Instagram can receive special anniversary playing cards and other gifts for qualifying purchases.
Jeong Jae-hee, the executive director of the Samsonite brand, expressed hopes that this pop-up would help more people connect with the brand’s legacy and innovative spirit.
