Discover Selangor’s Future: The Ultimate Digital and Lifestyle Hub Unveiled by OpenGov Asia

Shah Alam, the capital of Selangor, Malaysia, is on the verge of an exciting change. The upcoming Aneka Walk, developed by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), is set to redefine how residents and visitors engage with the city. This modern community hub will open its doors in the third quarter of this year and aim to be a go-to spot for entertainment, shopping, and lifestyle experiences.

Located in Section 14, Aneka Walk will connect two key locations: SACC Mall and Kompleks PKNS Shah Alam. This connection will create an engaging space where people can enjoy diverse activities all in one place. PKNS aims to boost Shah Alam’s standing, promoting it as a modern urban center that welcomes everyone.

Aneka Walk is a collaboration with KRU Entertainment, a firm celebrated for its innovative approach to the entertainment sector. Their goal is to merge technology with art and music, crafting a unique environment filled with digital experiences. With virtual reality (VR) and immersive elements, Aneka Walk promises visitors a one-of-a-kind adventure.

Azilah Arasad, the project director for PKNS, shares that this initiative represents more than just construction. It symbolizes Shah Alam’s growth into a more modern city. “By bridging SACC Mall and Kompleks PKNS, we are creating a vibrant hub,” she explains. The space will be inviting for people from all walks of life.

Datuk Norman Abdul Halim, CEO of KRU Entertainment, adds that Aneka Walk will be a center for creative innovation, offering visitors new experiences. It will feature a 300-meter covered walkway, allowing easy access to shopping, dining, and digital entertainment. This will not only enhance leisure options but also stimulate creativity and industry growth in the area.

Aneka Walk will house 150 business lots, offering local entrepreneurs opportunities in fields such as food, fashion, music, and crafts. It’s designed to accommodate up to 3,000 visitors at once, featuring activities like live performances and interactive art exhibits. The venue will also utilize cutting-edge technology, with cashless kiosks and VR experiences to streamline visits.

This project is expected to positively impact Selangor’s economy by creating jobs in retail and event management. Its support for small businesses aligns with current trends favoring local entrepreneurship. Recent studies indicate that urban hubs like Aneka Walk can significantly stimulate local economies by fostering innovative ventures.

As Shah Alam embraces this transformation, Aneka Walk stands out not merely as another shopping center but as a symbol of a forward-thinking community. Its combination of innovation, technology, and community spirit positions it to become a vital part of Shah Alam’s future.
