Helping Hands Food Pantry has been a vital part of our community for many years. Recently, they received a generous donation of $1,300 from FOX 47 and Hager Fox Heating & Air Conditioning. This support will help them feed families in need.
During a special event, Helping Hands was presented with the check. Amanda Thompson, the Executive Director, shared that this funding will allow them to provide meals to 217 families. “It means everything to serve our community,” she said, expressing gratitude for the support.
The funding comes from the “Three-Degree Guarantee” initiative. Each night, the weather forecast predicts the next day’s high temperature. If the forecast is accurate within three degrees, Helping Hands earns $50. If it misses the mark, they receive $100.
This partnership showcases the important work that Helping Hands does and how community support can make a positive impact. Local partnerships like this can truly change lives.
