Oakhurst, California, is welcoming a delightful addition to its community: the Yosemite Pie Company.
Owned by Taylor and Mike Sliffe, this cozy bakery is inspired by their roots in Julian, a small mountain town famous for its apple pies. Taylor shared, “We’ve always dreamed about this moment. It’s been a long time coming, nearly a decade!” Now, they’ve finally opened the doors to their brick-and-mortar shop, located in the Old Mill Village Shopping Center off Highways 41 and 49.
Initially, Taylor and Mike shared their tasty pies at local farmer’s markets. Now, customers can enjoy a variety of options at their new location, including full-size and mini raspberry, triple berry, cherry, and mountain berry pies. They also plan to offer coffee and lunch to go, along with homemade ice cream for those who enjoy their pie à la mode.
“Our secret ingredient is sharing,” Taylor explained. The couple is eager to connect with the community and aim to collaborate with local artists and support cleanup efforts in the area. “We’re excited to create something special that everyone can enjoy,” Taylor added.
The Yosemite Pie Company is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, and it seems like the perfect stop for both locals and tourists alike.
