Share Your Love Story
Ballet Arkansas is on the hunt for Little Rock’s best love story! In celebration of Valentine’s Day and their upcoming performances of Prokofiev’s “Romeo & Juliet”, they’re encouraging locals to join in.
From now until February 1, residents can post their love stories on social media. Just tag Ballet Arkansas and use #LRLovestory. Make sure to share a photo of you and your loved one! To enter, you must live in Little Rock.
One lucky couple will win a bottle of fine wine, a signed poster from the cast, and two free tickets to the February 14 performance, complete with a backstage tour.

This particular production is special for Ballet Arkansas’ directors, Michael and Catherine Fothergill. They fell in love while performing the title roles in Alabama back in 2014.

Check Out ‘Primary Trust’
TheatreSquared in Fayetteville is presenting “Primary Trust” by Eboni Booth, who recently won a Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The show opens this Wednesday and runs through February 23.
The story centers around a 36-year-old bookstore worker who enjoys evenings with his imaginary best friend. But when he is unexpectedly laid off, his life takes a surprising turn. Performances are at various times, including evenings and weekends. Tickets range from $20 to $58.

‘USO: For the Troops’
Catch the screening of “USO: For the Troops” at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. This documentary reviews the 70-year legacy of the United Service Organizations in supporting American soldiers.

Explore ‘Reimagining the Masterpiece’
A unique art display called “Reimagining the Masterpiece” is available at the South Arkansas Arts Center in El Dorado until February 19. It features 11 pieces by local artist James Volkert, alongside authentic artifacts that inspired his work.
The artist will hold a reception on Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free.
Cézanne Discussion
On Wednesday, George Shackelford from the Kimbell Art Museum will present “The Cézanne Effect” at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in Little Rock at 5 p.m. This talk will dive into Cézanne’s influence on modern art and his lasting legacy. The event is free, and live open captioning will be provided.
