Last week, Wizards of the Coast shared exciting news about the upcoming Final Fantasy cards for Magic: The Gathering. Fans of Final Fantasy XV will especially enjoy one quirky addition: the “Instant Ramen” Artifact card.

This card allows players to either draw a card or gain 3 Life when sacrificed. It’s a fun nod to the 2016 RPG where Noctis and his friends often relied on instant noodles during their adventures. In the game, players can complete the “Perfect Cup” side quest in Chapter 8, gathering ingredients to whip up the best cup noodles ever. Succeeding in this quest not only unlocks a new recipe for Ignis but also boosts the stats of your party.

The ramen featured in the game is actually Cup Noodle from Nissin, a popular Japanese food brand. The game even had billboards showcasing the noodles, and Square Enix later added more Cup Noodle-themed items. Final Fantasy XV was well-known for its product placements, from luxury brands like Vivienne Westwood to American Express.

As for the release, these Final Fantasy cards will drop on June 13. Expect fans to share their excitement online, especially as nostalgic elements from the game resurface in new ways.
